“So, Andre, I understand you’re married. Is that correct?” Sejine asked.
“Yupp,” he replied as his phone vibrated once again.
“May I ask if you are happily married?” She smirked.
“You get right to the point, huh?”
“Yes. Just like when I see something I want, I go after it,” she admitted as she stared straight into his eyes.
He sipped his drink and his eyes met hers. “Is that right?” Just as he was contemplating the point of no return his phone vibrated again alerting him he received a text message. Sejine watched him in silence as he retrieved the phone from his hip and clicked on his text log.
Wifey: Just checking making sure you are okay
Wifey: I take it you are staying at the penthouse since you are in New York and we do have to be in the office tomorrow
Andre ignored the messages as he placed his phone back in its case on his hip.
“So, may I ask how are you and Ed cousins since he is, no offense, white and you are black?” Sejine asked.
“Well, if you take a good look you’ll see I’m a mixed breed. My mom was white and my dad is black. My mom and Ed’s dad were brother and sister.”
“Were?” Sejine questioned.
“Yes, my mom passed when I was ten and no I don’t want to talk about it,” Andre admitted.
“Oh, sorry to hear that,” she replied. “So, you never did answer my question.”
“Which is?” Andre questioned.
“Are you happily married?” She asked once again.
Andre smirked as he swallowed the last of his Coke and Hennessey. Placing the glass down on the table he slowly let his eyes roam from her hair, to her full breast, to the mini skirt she wore. “Why? If I said no, are you trying to be the one to make me happy?” He asked as his phone vibrated again.
Sejine moved closer and whispered in his ear. “Hell yea. Matter fact, let’s go in a private room downstairs and let me start making you happy,” she commanded with lust in her voice.”
Andre stared at her for a moment. The liquor and the betrayal he was feeling from Arianna had him contemplating a road he never thought he would go down again. Honestly, he enjoyed living the faithful life. It was actually stress free. Besides, making love to someone you love was a whole lot more fulfilling than making love to two or three other ones who you have no feelings for at all.
“Follow me, sexy,” She instructed as she slipped out of the booth.
“Lead the way,” he replied as he followed her. Once they got downstairs to the club area, Sejine led him to a private room with burgundy sofa seats, disco lights and a little mini bar.
“Have a seat and I’ll fix you another drink,” she told him. As he followed her instructions, he felt his phone vibrate again.
As Sejine brought him another glass of Coke and Hennessey, she turned on a switch on the wall and, You’re My Little Freak by Usher started to play. As if on cue, she began grinding and moving to the beat. Andre watched her with lust filled eyes as he sipped on his drink.
As his phone vibrated again, he pulled it from his hip. Frustrated from the interruption, he clicked on the text logs as Sejiine slowly made her way to him. His manhood grew rock hard as she sat on his lap, gyrating to the beat. He looked down and read the text messages as she sang the words of the song to him and slowly grinded on his erection.
Wifey: You’re not answering me. It’s okay I understand
Wifey: Gd night
Wifey: I understand you are still upset and you have every reason to be but hopefully we can sit down tomorrow and have another talk
Staring at the messages, he tried to pretend he was unaffected by them . Truth is, a part of him was happy she was calling and texting him, but his ego wouldn’t allow him to answer.
“Damn, Andre, I knew you were working with a monster,” Sejiine whispered as she was now squeezing his fully erect penis through the black jeans he wore. Andre leaned back on the sofa as he watched her. She appeared to be in a zone as she continued gyrating on his lap and licking her lips despite the fact the song ended minutes ago. He then placed his phone down and slowly reached up and squeezed her nipples through the fabric of her black halter top.
Cocking her head back, she moaned in ecstasy. Unable to take the foreplay any longer, she removed his hands from her breast and placed one of his fingers in her mouth. She sucked on it as if it were a lollypop. She then strategically slid onto her knees, unzipped his pants and freed his nine inches from his boxers. Stroking it, she examined it as if it were a master piece. Damn she thought to herself. Andre licked his lips as he watched her admire his penis as if it was the best thing she ever laid eyes on. To say his ego escalated would be an understatement.
“Is it big enough for you”? he lustfully asked her.
“Hell fucking yes,” she slowly placed him in her mouth.
“Shit,” he moaned. Reaching down, he placed one of his hands on the back of her head and she bobbed up and down on his erect penis. He was in the zone and once again his phone vibrated. A part of him was enjoying the pleasure he was receiving, but the other half just felt the need to pick up the phone. As Sejine continued slurping on his tool, he picked up his cell phone and viewed the text message.
Wifey: If it’s any consolation, yes he did make me wet. Okay You want honesty. I’m giving you complete honesty. Yes I was a little curious but not because I’m not satisfied with you but because he was my first love and our time was stolen but I am head over heals in love with you and I had no intention of acting on my curiosity, but I was just so angry and hurt after hearing that secret and the way you were talking that I acted on it. But it hasn’t changed how I feel about you. I still love you and you will always be the best, baby. I love you.
Andre read the message twice in which he immediately lost his erection. Placing the phone down, he brought his hand up to his face and groaned dramatically. “Uuugh! Dammit!”
“Are you okay?” Sejine asked as she was still positioned on the floor in between his legs. She felt no shame when his erection decreased while still in her mouth.
“Nah, I’m not okay. Get up, man. Shit, what the fuck!” He fretted and quickly stood to his feet, tucked his penis back into his boxers and zipped his pants. He grabbed his phone from the sofa and turned his attention to Sejine. “Look, I’m sorry. This shit that just happened shouldn’t have happened and I’m glad it didn’t go any further,” he informed her.
“Are you sure? Because I live in the village, we can always go back to my place and finish what we started,” She pleaded desperately.
“Nah, I can’t, ma. You know I’m married, right? I was fucked up in the head and not thinking straight. I’m sorry. I didn’t mean to lead you on. Look, I got to go,” he told her and quickly bent down, kissed her on her cheek and exited the room.
________
“Yo, Ed, take me back to the penthouse in my car and I’ll have my car service bring you back here. I feel too fucked up to drive,” Andre asked Edward.
“Man, you can’t be that fucked if you know you’re fucked up, but let’s go, I’ll take you. Let me just tell Imani,” Edward replied.
“Eh, what happened with Sejine? Where is she?”
“Man, you don’t want to know,” Andre replied.
“Two wrongs don’t make a right, Dre.”
“Ed, shut the hell up. I didn’t do shit. Although I should have. Man, what the fuck is wrong with me?” Andre questioned as he shook his head. Edward laughed as he left to go find Imani.
Chapter Seven
Aeikan Sports & Marketing
“Well, well, look what the cat dragged in. Eh, girl, we need to sit down and have a long talk with you,” Desmond requested as he and Andre approached the front desk. Stacey gave them a faint smile as she pretty much knew what they wanted to discuss. Today was her first day returning to work since her secret was exposed over three weeks ago. Hell, at least that was one of her secrets. She actually possessed so many secrets,
that if she decided to sit with someone and confess them she wouldn’t know where to begin.
Stacey Jenkins was a breath taking chocolate skinned beauty who stood at 5 feet 9 inches tall and although she was naturally slim, upon taking a closer look, one would notice how beyond frail and malnourished she actually appeared. Yes, what lies beneath was a troubled soul with an even more troubled past. Prior to employment at Aeikan Sports & Marketing, life for Stacey consisted of running from the past, which included bouncing around from one location to the next. Once she figured she escaped her dreadful past, she settled in New York City, which was also known as the Big Apple.
Stacey had a lifelong dream of becoming the next R&B sensation and in the N.Y.C. is where such dreams have known to come true, unfortunately, Stacey’s demons had taken a front seat; over shadowing her possibility of a singing career.
“Yes, Stacey, sometime today we are going to sit down and have a long talk,” Andre stressed to her.
“Yes,” she replied in a soft tone. “Thanks for not saying anything to Mrs. Aeikan,” She muttered as she was having trouble making eye contact with both men. She was without a doubt embarrassed. So embarrassed she stayed away for as long as she had.
“Don’t thank me. I didn’t say anything because it’s not my place to say anything, because what we discovered was outside the work place and if you want her or anyone else to know you will say so yourself. But if you are having problems and need help with anything you know she would be more than happy to help. To her you are more than just an employee. Do you understand that?” Andre asked her.
“Yes, I do,” She replied with a faint smile.
“Now, although I didn’t say anything about what you do outside Aeikan Marketing, I have to say something about what you do inside of Aeikan Marketing,” Andre informed her.
“What do you mean?” she asked with a look of fear in her eyes.
“Ohh, you don’t know what I mean?” Andre questioned her as he edged closer to the desk.
“Calm down, Dre,” Desmond said as he placed a hand on Andre’s shoulder.
“Look, Stacey. We were concerned so we decided to do some digging, and we found out some things,” Desmond informed her as she began to fidget in her seat.
“Don’t look shocked now, girl. We’re professional men, but we’re also from the streets. Now, it’s one thing if you didn’t feel comfortable to confide in any of us, but when you decide you going to put this company in jeopardy, well that’s a whole different ball game. Now we have a full schedule this morning, but this afternoon, the three of us are going to have a talk and then we’ll bring in Mrs. Aeikan,” Desmond informed her once again.
Stacey cleared her throat as she nodded her head in agreement.
“You lucky your ass came back to work today or we would have been at your door,” Desmond continued in a serious tone.
Andre nodded his head as he smirked. “Aight, So we have two important appointments this morning. The first one is with our new client, Ezekiel Sanders. He should be here any minute. Send him to the conference room once he arrives and make sure you offer him some coffee or tea or whatever else is in that kitchen,” Andre instructed her. “Oh, the second appointment is with Malachi James. Now, when he gets here, send him to the conference room also.”
“Wait, appointment? Well, wouldn’t he go straight to his office?” Stacey asked confused. Last she was aware, Malachi was an employee with Aeikan Sports & Marketing.
“There might be some changes. Eh, call Howard in security and let him know I’ll need him in the conference room in a couple of hours and to bring some back up,” Desmond ordered Stacey.
“Man, what the hell you calling Howard into the meeting for?” Andre asked with a scowl.
“Because, I’m not about to fuck up my suit trying to break up you and Mal,” Desmond replied as he walked away from the desk.
Andre shook his head as he turned his attention back to Stacey. “One more thing, If Arianna gets here during the time Desmond and I are meeting with Malachi, tell her do not go into the conference room unless I call her to go in there. Other than that, don’t say anything to her. You got that?”
“Yes,” Stacey responded as Andre nodded his head and walked away from the desk towards his office.
Thirty minutes later: The Conference room
“This fool is late,” Andre expressed.
“Let me call his ass and see where he is.” Desmond responded as he took his phone off his hip.
“Yo, I’m telling you now, Des, I don’t have no patience for this kid and his bullshit. He’s been traded twice in the past four years because the last two teams were tired of his shit and even his agent lost his damn mind and left the country because of his ass,” Andre expressed as Desmond laughed.
“Nigga, stop exaggerating. That’s not why his agent left,” Desmond clarified as he continued laughing.
“Well, whatever. He better not come over here with his bullshit,” Andre said once again as there was a light knock on the door. Shaking his head, he walked over to the door and quickly opened it. His jaw immediately clenched as he was face to face with Arianna.
“Good morning,” she said with a slight smile as she stepped inside of the conference room. Her smile faded as she noticed Andre did not return one. His jaw remained clenched as he placed both hands in his pockets and glared at her. The tension between them was thick as he studied her attire. Under normal circumstances, the mere sight of her would have turned him on and brought a smile to his face, but his anger along with other emotions were still very much existent despite the text she sent him the night before. Although he appreciated her honesty, he couldn’t help the way he was still feeling.
“What’s up, Ari?” Desmond greeted, kissed her cheek and sat back down in the chair.
“Nothing much,” She replied with a smile.
“What’s on the schedule for this morning?” She asked as she looked Andre’s way.
“Why don’t you tell me. You’re the one who’s been meeting with clients behind my back for the past two weeks,” Andre replied.
Arianna cleared her throat as she stared in his eyes. Searching them she could still see the pain and anger but his ego wouldn’t allow him to admit it to her. Despite the fact she poured her heart out to him the night before via text messaging, his demeanor towards her still seemed cold and distance. “I don’t need to go behind your back to meet with clients, Andre. The clients I met with were clients I brought in and was already dealing with. While you’re still in your feelings, remember that I’m part owner of this company and I don’t need to go behind your back to do a damn thing,” She angrily responded as she headed for the door.
“No, you just go behind my back and have an affair and shit,” Andre replied with venom in his voice.
Arianna slowly turned and looked his way. When it came to dealing with a man as strong willed and egotistic as Andre, signs of weakness were not an option and in that moment she realized it would take a whole lot of strength to get through this.
“Andre, I know I’m wrong but I’m getting sick of your disrespect and really, I’m sick of your shit—”
“Oh, you sick of my shit….”He cut her off as he removed his hands from his pocket and edged closer to her.
“Aight, aight, that’s enough. You two need to stop. Don’t do this shit here. Ari, we waiting for that kid Ezekiel Sanders to show up so Dre and I can have a brief meeting with him. If you have anything to add you can join in. Also, we going to have a meeting with Stacey later on this afternoon,” Desmond intervened as he stood in between them. Arianna nodded as she gave Andre once last look, opened the door to the conference room and made her exit. Desmond shook his head at Andre. “So, now your guilty conscience has added to you being hurt and angry. Instead of opening up to her you rather throw jabs and insults at her? Keep fucking around and you going to lose your wife,” Desmond stressed as he pointed his finger at Andre.
“Man I told you nothing much happened wit
h that chic so I don’t feel guilty about shit,” Andre admitted as he rubbed his hands over his face.
“Enough happened where you feel a little guilty. Now here’s a word of advice, when another man is coming for your wife, especially a man who she had a complicated history with, don’t give her a reason to choose him. Don’t give him a reason to continue after her. Nigga, I know you. You love her, man. This isn’t just some random nigga and this isn’t your average situation and I know you’re fucked up over it, but don’t give her a reason to go to him. She loves you,” Desmond stressed to Andre as he placed a hand on his shoulder.
Andre looked at Desmond and for the first time since the incident with Malachi and Arianna, his vunerabilty and true feelings had finally surfaced. “Man, you ‘re right. I love her and my son more than I love my own life. I’m the man I am today because of her. That’s why once we were married I promised her and myself that I wouldn’t cheat anymore and it was easy to do because the day we exchanged those vows I fell more in love with her than I was before we were married. Yo, Des, honestly, those chicks I was cheating with couldn’t hold a candle to Ri. I was young and fucked up in the head. I wasn’t mature enough to deal with her issues so I fucked around from time to time, but she always had my heart. I wanted her since we were thirteen years old. Remember that shit?” Andre questioned as he wore a knowing smile on his face. Desmond nodded his head.
“Hell yeah,” he responded with a smile on his face as well. “Shit, actually longer than that. Man, I been crushing on her since we were ten. But when my ass finally found the courage to admit it to her—”
