“Okay,” he replied. “One more thing,” he said.
“Yes.” Arianna replied.
“The date we were supposed to have, you know, to get to know each other all over again beyond the sex, I would love to still have that. Please, on your terms of course,” Malachi suggested as he gave her a sly smile.
Arianna then started her car as she turned and looked up at him. “I’m not sure if that’s a good idea, Mal. I’ll let you know,” she said to him.
Smiling, he reached down and gently kissed her cheeks. She gave him a faint smile in return as she drove away.
Chapter Sixteen
Ava’s condo
(home dressing
room)
West Orange, N.J.
“Can you stay still while I measure you,” Ava demanded. “You are starting to work my nerves,” she included.
“C’mon girl, I thought we promised that we were going to be nice to each other,” Ezekiel responded with a boyish grin.
“No, you promised. I never did no such thing,” Ava responded.
Ezekiel laughed as he studied her face. “You cold, you know that,” he stated in which Ava ignored him.
“Okay, I measured the length and width of your pants. Now I need to do the shirt and then we’re done.”
“Okay. Go ahead and do your thing,” Ezekiel expressed to her as he raised his arms.
“Uhh. I’m going to need you to be shirtless to measure you for a tuxedo.”
“Oh, word?” he questioned with that same boyish, sexy grin of his.
Ava couldn’t deny that Ezekiel Sanders was definitely easy on the eyes. Standing at 5 feet, 11 inches, which was perfect height for a point guard position, he was definitely smooth and cocky with it. Straight out of Brooklyn, N.Y., he possessed that confident New York swag, from the way he talked, to the way he walked. He demanded attention the second he stepped into a room; with his smooth, chocolate, Hershey bar-like skin, his dark, thick, eye brows, full, sexy lips, pearly, white teeth, panty dropping smile and his sculptured athletic physic. To top it all off, his sarcastic humor, magnetic charm and wild ways has earned him winning points with the ladies, but a bad boy label in the NBA. Ava knew all about his wild party ways, his antics on the basketball court and run ins with the paparazzi’s in the past. His reputation with countless women; from R&B singers to movie actresses were no secret either. Yes, she knew all about bad boy Ezekiel Sanders, which she wanted no parts of, yet she couldn’t deny her attraction to him.
“Uuuh, yes. word,” Ava mocked what seems to be his favorite word to use. Within the past month she had been styling him, they had gotten to know each other quite a bit and although Ava was quick to deny it, she found him funny, easy to talk to and undeniably charming. What she liked most about him was his down to earth attitude. His money and fame hadn’t changed him. Although he would be chauffeured in a limo to important meetings, photo shoots and basketball related activities, he would hop on the train and roam the streets of New York, with no security and no body guards. Fancy restaurants and lavish things didn’t impress him the least, which was the reason he possessed a nonchalant attitude when it boiled down to the way he dressed.
“Oh, you got jokes, I see,” he said with the same grin Ava had been trying to pretend didn’t have any effect on her.
“Hurry up. I don’t have all day. I have things to do and people to see,” Ava responded.
“Oh yeah? Do any of those people you need to see happen to be a man, perhaps?” He asked as he once again grinned. Ava couldn’t help it as she smiled at his weak attempt to find out if she was involved with anyone.
“Why? What’s it to you?” Ava asked him.
“C’mon girl, inquiring minds want to know.”
“Well, inquiring minds needs to mind their own damn business. Now come on, strip,” she ordered.
Unable to control his laughter, he immediately busted out as he slowly took a step back. “Damn, you cold,” he licked his lips. “And fine too,” he added in a lower tone as he looked directly in her eyes. “And I mean that with the upmost respect, of course. Please don’t be offended. Matter of fact, you are more than just fine. You’re beautiful, drop dead gorgeous even,” he concluded in an even lower tone, which was more seductive than anything.
Ava shook her head as she was flattered and intrigued by him. There goes that damn charm of his again. She thought to herself as she now watched him in awe as he lifted the plain black t-shirt he wore over his head, revealing more smooth, Hershey chocolate, toned skin, which was ripped and toned along with his eight-pack abs. His shoulders and chest were toned to perfection and although his body possessed not a tattoo in sight, he was still sexy as all hell.
“You can touch as well as look, you know,” Ezekiel teased as he once again grinned at her.
“Oh, shut up,” Ava retorted as she quickly gained her composure. She hated that she was attracted to him and that she found him fascinating. Grabbing her measuring tape, she made her way over to him. His body was something out of this world. She was now face to face with him. Once she silently prayed to the Gods and quickly exhaled, she went ahead and measured him without breaking a sweat. When she was done, she cleared her throat, backed away from him and avoided eye contact with him. “You can put your shirt back on. We’re done here,” She said to him as she made her way over to her desk.
Ezekiel’s eyes followed her every move as he placed his shirt back on. ”You know, during my off season, I have a lot of time on my hands,” Ezekiel slowly approached her.
“And?” Ava questioned with sarcasm.
“And, since I have so much time on my hands, I took it upon myself to do a little research on you,” he admitted.
Ava grew irritated. She now faced him. “You did what?”
“I was curious about you so I did a little research and I’m glad I did because I think I like what I learned, Miss Ava Justine Aeikan,” he said slowly as he stared at her. “Sister of top CEO Andre Aeikan, cousin of former NBA star, turned agent Desmond Aeikan and former fiancée of former NBA star Jason Renners. I knew you looked familiar once Andre told me you were his sister and Desmond’s cousin. It’s funny, you and I crossed paths many times but for some reason I never paid much attention. What the hell was wrong with me? I don’t know how the hell I overlooked you,” he stared at her.
Ava closed her eyes in an attempt to control her emotions. After the hurt and pain with Jason, the last thing she wanted was to take a chance on another ball player only to get hurt again. Yes, she really liked Ezekiel and he did seem like a great guy, but he also appeared to be a bit of a womanizer just like Jason was and that’s the last thing she needed and wanted. The best thing to do is quit styling him and stay away from him. She thought to herself.
“How dare you research me?” She said to him.
“I wanted to find out about you, and since you were so standoffish, I figured Google would help me out.”
“You know what? Today is the last day I’ll style you. I’ll let my sister- in-law know so she can find you a new stylist. We’re done. Please see yourself out,” she said sternly.
“Oh, so you just going to dismiss me? What is it with you? Is it wrong for me to want to get to know you? Is it wrong for me to want to take you out and put a smile on your face, huh? Is it?” He asked as he moved closer to her.
“Yes! it’s wrong! Especially when you have ten or twenty other bitches you’re entertaining! You ball players are all the same! You would have a good woman at home but still feel the need to stick your dick in anything that moves! You all make me sick! Now get the fuck out and leave me the hell alone!” Ava yelled as she walked up to the door of her condo and opened it. She signaled him to make his exit.
Ezekiel simply shook his head as he made his way to her where she held the door opened for him. Stopping, he faced her and looked directly in her eyes.
“I don’t know what exactly you’ve been through, but I could only imagine since you were engaged to that jackas
s, Jason, but let me say this. To put all ball players in the same category is an insult to me and an insult to some of my friends who are ball players who happen to be loyal to their wives and girlfriends. You don’t know me. All you know is what you’ve read about me or what you’ve seen on TMZ or the tabloids. If you would’ve let yourself get to know me you would’ve known that although I love to party, and yes I’ve been seen with quite a few women, I am as loyal as they come. When I’m a single man, I enjoy it. Is that so damn wrong? But, when I’m with you, I’m with you. No, I’m not perfect, but I am a real man who knows a good woman and a good person when I see one. But it’s cool. You don’t have to worry about me bothering you after today. Thanks for the great styling tips. I’ll see you around.” He lingered a little longer as he gave her one last look before making his exit.
Ava quickly shut the door behind him as tears of frustration burned her eyes, threatening to fall.
Chapter Seventeen
Angeline’s Catering
West Orange, New Jersey
“Okay, Dre. Here’s the final list and seating arrangements for the Players Ball Banquet and thank you so much for hiring me to cater it this year,” Angeline said to Andre as she approached him along with Desmond.
Desmond scowled as he watched her put in her best effort to avoid eye contact with him. Since their kiss over a month ago, she had been avoiding him and he was plain ole sick of it, but the one thing he wouldn’t do was chase her. He tried to show her how he felt about her, but now, it was her turn to take the initiative as far as he was concerned.
“I don’t know why you’re thanking me. This year I wanted the best caterer in town so I got it,” Andre said.
“Aww, thanks, Dre,” she replied with a smile.
“Besides, your cousin would’ve never let me live it down if I went with someone else,” Andre added as he laughed.
Angeline laughed along with him. “Oh, okay, there it is. The real reason you went with me,” she continued laughing as she handed him the paperwork. “Well, I have something to finish in my office. I’ll see you guys later,” She said quickly as she headed towards her office.
Desmond couldn’t help it. He watched her walk away. Angeline and Arianna were truly blessed in the looks department. Although they lucked out in height, they made up for it elsewhere. They possessed curvaceous and shapely figures with model like walks to match. They also inherited the same long, thick hair and beautiful smile, with the exception of skin tone. Arianna’s complexion was a caramel tone, and Angeline’s was more on the bronze side.
Folding his arms across his chest, he continued to watch her until she disappeared down the hall.
“Eh, nigga. A picture last longer,” Andre joked as he laughed at Desmond.
“Man, shut the hell up,” Desmond retorted.
“So, how does it feel?” Andre asked with a smirk.
“How does what feel?” He looked Andre’s way.
“To finally find one where you have to put in work to get to her?”
“Didn’t I tell your ass to shut the hell up?” Desmond waved him off as he picked up the guest list for the Banquet. “You have Mal’s name on here?” Desmond asked.
“Yupp,” Andre replied.
Desmond looked at him suspiciously. “Uhh, why nigga? Three weeks ago you took his name off the list. Now you have his name back on.” Before Andre was able to reply, Arianna entered the lobby and made her way towards him and Desmond.
“Hey babe. Hey Des,” she greeted them as she kissed Andre on the lips and met Desmond with a warm hug.
“What’s up, Ari?” Desmond greeted her in return.
“Not too much,” she replied with a smile. “Babe, Let me go say hello to Angie and then we can go, Okay?” She said to Andre as she looked his way.
“Aight.”
As she attempted to walk away, he grabbed her by her arm and pulled her towards him. Reaching over, he whispered something in her ear and Desmond was unable to hear. Arianna blushed, grinned and giggled like a school girl and hurriedly made her way towards Angeline’s office. Once she disappeared down the hallway, Desmond dramatically tapped his finger on the paperwork and made eye contact with Andre.
“Now I get it. You’re a childish ass nigga, you know that?” Andre shrugged his shoulders.
“Why Desmond, whatever do you mean?” He joked.
“Fuck you. So, basically you and Ari are good again and you want to flaunt it in his face. There you go treating her like a pawn in you and Mal’s sick game again. Why can’t you be satisfied? Nigga, you won, you got the girl. Now what you two need to be concentrating on, is; if you two really brothers or not,” Desmond lectured and Andre waved him off.
“Man, whatever. I don’t need to be concentrating on shit. I can care less if we are really brothers. Whether we are or not, makes no fucking difference to me at this point. That nigga has proven over and over again in the last few weeks that he don’t give a fuck about me, and guess what, I don’t give a fuck about his ass anymore either. Now I tried to be the bigger man in this shit, but he wants to continue testing and disrespecting me like he forgot who the fuck I really am. Like I don’t have the power to have his ass come up missing and to never be found and shit. Nah, that nigga must really be delusional because he forgot that the same way it can be all good when I give a damn, its twenty times worse when I don’t give a damn. That nigga has no fucking idea. That nigga keeps concentrating on my wife when he should be concentrating on other things and shit, but yeah, let his ass go ahead and come to the banquet so he can see what’s really good.”
Desmond shook his head in frustration. It appeared to be the end of Andre and Malachi’s brotherly bond and nothing angered him more. Although he did all that he could to help them find a common ground, he realized now the ball was basically in their court.
“Aight, you still inviting him to the banquet, does that mean you still keeping him on board with Aeikan Sports and Marketing?” Desmond asked Andre.
“Nah, nah, Hell fucking no. I tried to be the bigger person and keep the peace, but that nigga is on some other shit. It’s one thing to keep your enemy close, but it’s another thing to keep inviting him right into your backyard. Nah, I’m done. I made sure his ass was good when he came home, but now he can figure shit out for himself. Oh, and you can tell his ass he can keep the portion of the money I gave him and if he still don’t want it, his ass can donate it to the homeless shelter and foundation we donate to,” Andre informed Desmond who simply continued shaking his head.
“Man, whatever,” Desmond responded.
“C’mon Des, don’t whatever me. Mr. Peace maker and shit. I tried to do what you advised me to do, but you yourself have to admit that nigga Malachi is on some other shit. Now, like I told you a few weeks ago and like I’m telling you now, I’m done. I was just as shocked as everybody else to find out that nigga Ian was Candy’s father too and that she was really my sister and Ian might be Malachi’s father. Instead of us trying to process the shit, this nigga wants to flip on me, talking about I still get the upper hand and that Ian wanted my mom and not his mom and all that dumb shit. Yo, what kind of a grown ass nigga is jealous of another nigga? I don’t know what the fuck happened to that nigga when he was locked up but I don’t even recognize his ass anymore. His vendetta against me is not just about Ri, this nigga seems to have a problem with my very existence, period. So, now I have to watch my back with this nigga for real. So, yeah, forget about him working with Aeikan Sports. I’ll just tell the clients that he resigned. And I’ll figure out something to tell A.J. He can come to the Banquet, but after that he can stay the fuck away from me, my company, my son and definitely my wife or I swear that’s his mothafuckin ass for real,” Andre said with authority.
Desmond shook his head. He disagreed but he also understood where Andre was coming from and he must admit, if he was in Andre’s shoes, he would’ve more than likely felt the same way.
“Babe, are you ready to go?” Arianna asked An
dre as she made her way over to them.
“Yeah. Let’s get this shit over with,” Andre replied.
“What shit? Where you two off to?” Desmond inquired.
“We’re meeting Ed at Jersey Shore Court House for that damn assault charge. He said he worked it out and was able to get the charges drop but I still have to make an appearance,” Andre explained, linking hands with Arianna as she smiled at him.
“Yes, thank God for that,” Arianna expressed.
“Yeah, that’s what’s up, nigga,” Desmond added as he and Andre shook hands.
“I’ll check you later,” Andre called out to Desmond as he and Arianna made their way towards the entrance. “Oh, and tell Angie we leaving our cars here, since we’re using the car service.
“Man, text her or call her, I’m not telling her a damn thing. She wants to play games; she can do it by her damn self,” Desmond expressed with a scowl.
Andre and Arianna shook their heads as all three made their exit.
Fifteen Minutes Later
“Babe, the limo driver. He can hear us,” Arianna whispered.
“No he can’t. I had this limo sound proofed. Now take those panties off and come sit on him,” Andre ordered as he pointed to his exposed penis. He then reached out to Arianna who sat across from him in their personal stretched out limo. Arianna smiled as she reached under her skirt, quickly slid off her black, laced underwear and tossed them to the seat next to her. Grabbing Andre’s hand, she followed his lead as he pulled her towards him and positioned her on his ready and erect penis.
“Oohhh… Dre,” Arianna expressed in a low, sultry tone as Andre slowly grinded into her already wet tunnel.
“Shit, pussy stay wet, huh?” Andre seductively questioned as his strokes deepened. “Fucck…. Shiit.. pussy is tighter than ever. Da fuck?” Andre groaned as Arianna’s walls sucked his tool in. He was on cloud nine and was putting in all his strength not to scream out like a girl as Arianna’s tightness and wetness sucked him in deeper. As he hit her walls and attempted to go in further, something held him back. Something felt damn strange. He never struggled this much to go deep before. Although Arianna was always tight, her tightness reached a new level and Andre said fuck it and plunged into her, causing her to scream out.
